Dartmouth

The inner harbour, known as the Boat Float has always been a great focal point in the town, and is surrounded by many fine old buildings, shops, restaurants and public houses. 

As this area is the commercial centre of Dartmouth, there are also many interesting little shops to browse as you explore the maze of  narrow streets that criss-cross this part of the old town.

For those who enjoy beautiful gardens, there is always the splendour of Royal Avenue Gardens, right in the centre of Dartmouth adjacent to The Boat Float pictured above, it's always possible to find either a sunny or shady spot to while away some time, and it is difficult to imagine a pleasanter or more peaceful spot to linger.
